📈 New Era of NFL QBs & NCAAF Transfer Portal

Good Morning - 👇

In Edition 7.0:

  1. Transfer Portal - growing every year

  2. Top 3 QBs Selected - how efficient are they?

🌌  Portal Jumping

With the 2024 NFL Draft coming to a close, it’s important to note how many potential draft picks are starting to stay in College for one more year to take advantage of the transfer portal and new NIL deals. Some players, besides trying to boost their draft stock for next season, are milking it out as a college athlete as long as possible to not forfeit the NIL money coming their way. If a player goes undrafted or even drafted in the later rounds of the draft, they could be taking a pay cut based off NIL deals.

The Transfer Portal and ability to change schools and situations for yourself at free will as a college athlete has become so prevalent, it’s hard to blame those who are taking advantage. The numbers above reflect only College Football too…not taking into account Men’s and Women’s College Basketball, Baseball, and other sports. Every year, based on the data, the number of student athletes in the Portal will grow until the NCAA or specific conferences, find a way to regulate.

🏉 Time to Compare QBs

Caleb Williams. Jayden Daniels. Drake Maye. The top three overall picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Three guys who were compared in College, & compared in the Draft Process, will now be compared to each other for the rest of their careers. Williams going to the Chicago Bears, Daniels to the Washington Commanders, and Maye to the New England Patriots, these QBs are tasked with becoming the franchise changing guy to lead their teams back to relevance.

Based on the numbers and thoughts surrounding him, Caleb Williams is a generational talent that has all the tools and traits to win for the Chicago Bears. Jayden Daniels had a Heisman Trophy winning season in 2023 and made a household name for himself with his running and throwing ability at LSU. Drake Maye has most always been the guy to be linked to Caleb Williams in the draft process, especially the last 2-3 years,. It seems that if all three of these QBs entered drafts without each other in them, they would all be respective #1 overall selections.
